On the 6th of this month, our fanciest and most fashionable humans strolled down the red carpet of the Met Costume Institute Gala, themed “Punk: Chaos to Couture”.
Although we loved many of the costumes, we can’t help but wonder what was going through their heads as they slipped into their metaphorical punk pants.

Paired down and body conscious in a subtle palette of black, greys, blues and ivory, the clothes embody the spirit of restraint and casual elegance that continues to dominate this season’s collections.
Moving away from the Elvis and Americana-inspired collections of the past few seasons, Isabel appears to be focusing on a new thread of inspiration; evolving her penchant for embellishment and bohemia with a more layered and refined silhouette.

Lake Retba, Senegal - Also known as Lac Rose (french). The Lake is situated north of the Cap Vert Peninsula in Senegal, northeast of Dakar. The Lake is known for its pink color and high salt content wich allows people to float easily. The pink color is caused by Dunaliella salina algae, best visible in the dry season.
